Party of God 04:29
Party of God Jesus, Matt, Mark, Luke and John Decided to congregate with the other eight And stay up late to party God was busy anyway making up rules So the longhaired guys got their party tools And started partying Jesus felt a little guilty for not lettin’ dad in On the party of the centuries, the party of sin But, then Peter brought out the good stuff and said Let the party begin God was in the other wing, very serious indeed Not knowing his dread locked, carpenter son Was smoking weed in the guest room With his longhaired, Birkenstock wearing, vegetarian, Body pierced, tattooed, facial haired, Sand surfing friends Now Simon and Paul liked to party down Peter and Jesus rapped while Judas frowned And Jesus snapped from underneath his crown Hey Matthew, Mark, Luke and john Please don’t write this down So, God in all his goodness, concentrating on what’s right Pretended not to notice all the noise on this night ‘Til he heard a rockin’ flute and he said Man, that’s outta sight Jesus was getting’ too heavy, so enthusiasm waned It was getting’ close to morning and everyone was drained And Peter’s bag was empty and the homemade Egyptian beer they had, It was warm and lame God knocked on the door and Peter opened the window hence Mark turned on the fan and luke lit the incense And Jesus said, uh yea, come on in Everyone was scared and Jesus got really tense Jesus looked down when his dad came in He said, it’s not what it looks like and let me begin By saying, it’s all my fault And I’ll pay for their sins But, God knew exactly what was goin’ on here And he looked rather hurt when he spotted the Egyptian beer And he said, son I told you, your body’s a temple Don’t you hear? I just don’t approve of those man made drugs Science is great if they could work out the bugs But, the powder and pills and needles will turn you From a butterfly to a caterpillar, From a human, to a slug You have to keep your mind sharp, that’s why I gave you this plant And he pulled out a bushel and with a smile he’d chant This bud’s for you son, That’s why I put it here So, everybody cheered and the party rose again God was cool after all, he blended right in And Jesus was relieved that eternity wouldn’t be so bad The music got louder and the holy partied on God brought out a deli tray with bread and fish and prawns And Mary said desperately, let’s party forever But, alas she knew they were headed for the dawn Now, the son must rise, so everybody went home Matt, Mark, Luke and John didn’t write it down, They were too stoned And the rest is history And from Godly seed we’re sewn It’s a party with God that they rolled up then And it’s a party of God, so we do it again Until some joker like Judas turns us all in To the Pontious Pilate Police Patrol Working for Satan’s servants, Dressed in the unholy suits and robes That used to be sacred When they were made from hemp

Lick Your Teeth When the TV’s on, I’m looking back as you look back at me from behind the camera’s cold red eye I’m watching your lips move up and down and up and down but I can’t hear a word you say what, when, who, how or why your eyes are smoky and your voice is sweet and I don’t care if we ever make our opinions meet I wanna lick your teeth You’re the reader girl everyday you talk on the TV you’re hopin’ you’ve got your hair and face on right ‘cause everyone can surely see you’re serious when you need to be and you frown and laugh most naturally and that hypnosis works at least on someone someone such as me I wanna lick your teeth Would it be the same if we could meet in the real world? Would you look the same if we could meet in the real world? Would it be the same if you knew my name and we played this game in the real world? Now, I know down inside there’s a fragile soul with a longing to be loved and you’re insecure about your place and face and body always being judged and deep inside of me there’s a soul that really cares and doesn’t stare right past the being to the object underneath but right now that’s all we’ve got turn off the camera and the lights I’m gonna steal, gonna steal you like a thief I wanna lick your teeth

The Big Wanker Blues I wish I weren’t endowed with such a massive bulge of sirloin I just wanna be a normal guy with an average manly groin but, I’m fearful when I’m swimming It’ll swim right out of my shorts and then the pool will clear, somebody’ll yell shark and I’ll wind up in the courts defending myself from a world that doesn’t understand what it’s like to be such an oversized, over-inflated, overblown, hard to fit man I’d be large if I wasn’t so huge I got the big wanker, chain yanker, monkey spanker sperm banker, double hulled oil tanker I got the big wanker blues I don’t wanna be small and for the big girl, just a tease I just wanna be average, a man who loves to please but, I’m dying, if I’m lying It’s a summer sausage fully inflated there isn’t a port that can handle this ship, none of this is exaggerated and the brave women who’ve opened up, have recoiled again in fear it’s my cross to bare, the monkey on my back, this Godzilla without peer I’d be genuinely monstrous, if I wasn’t so colossal I got the big wanker, number one ranker, turmoil and rancor, ultimate spanker, gold-studded, rock solid, international banker, I got the big wanker blues I got the big wanker blues I’m the ultimate ride but, the ladies live in fear of such a massive, raging tool, they run and hide the stallions stand restlessly and then they shrink back in disgrace, the mares’ lift their tails and their eyes get wide but, I won’t go near that place my member’s a major monster, it’s a whopper, unsurpassed it’s a Rambo rod, a powerful pole, mistaken at the beach for a clipper’s mighty mast I’d be giant, if I wasn’t titanic I got the big wanker, mind blanker walk the plank or spank and thank her, beyond imagination, science fiction, reality yanker I got the big wanker blues

Killing Myself Images fade from former lives of forgotten friends and foolish lies of dreams dulled down to human size in a universe of inebriated boredom where the greatest, grandest, grueling quest is false and fake and fantasy, at best mediocre minds and men quite merit less are the stars in this universe of boredom I’ve been killing myself for myself for so long I’ve been killing myself with myself What do you do when you’ve widdled it down? and your youth is buried under years of ground and your colors have faded in the lost and found and you head into the everlasting boredom now, they say they’ve saved our youth with a pill 200 years on the express treadmill so, we can scurry and hurry toward hopes and fears back and forth, up and down, here and there and back to here for another 200 years? I’ve been killing myself for myself for so long I’ve been killing myself with myself Images fade and reappear of forgotten joy and women’s tears I wash my face to face the day alive for another 200 years, I’ve gotta stop Killing myself for myself for so long I’ve been killing myself with myself Images fade from former lives of forgotten friends and foolish lies and dreams dulled down to human size in a universe of longer lives where images fade from former lives of forgotten loves and forgotten wives and dreams of days so long gone by in a universe of longer lives where images fade from former times of reckless loss, of finite time of useless notes and meaningless rhymes in my universe, I’ve been killing

God Put the Fun in Fundamentalist God is an American and the bible was wrote in English and Jesus is coming back right here to Texas It’s so good to know that we’re right and it’s so warm to deal out our might and the only book we’ll ever need to read is the bible, it’s American indeed And those scientists are full of human pride and those liberals are mocking how he died and those secular humanists will face judgement in the end if we don’t get ‘em first, ‘cause we know that we’re God’s best friends God is an American and the bible was wrote in English and Jesus is coming back right here to Tulsa God, he is a white man and he loves you only if you’re Christian and Jesus is a right wing fundamentalist I got my flag flying high and the good book in my hand I got my woman at my side and she jumps at my command we go to church every week and we love and serve the Lord we leave to spread his words with our own holy swords We’re gonna take this land back from the commies, freaks and queer boys we’re gonna make this Christian country free from choice we’re gonna keep them schools from teachin’ evolution lies we’re gonna make sure sex is always sanitized God is an American and the bible was wrote in English and Jesus is coming back right here to Tuscalusa God, he is a white man and he loves you only if you’re Christian and Jesus looks a lot like Ralph Reed Jr. We’re gonna keep the federal government from takin’ our beliefs we’re gonna make sure every baby’s born that is conceived I have the Lord God All Mighty, he’s on my side and there ain’t nowhere them unbelievers can run and hide God is an American and the bible was wrote in English and Jesus is coming back right here to Tuscalusa God, he is a white man and he loves you only if you’re Christian and Jesus wasn’t ever really Jewish (and Jesus looks a lot like Jerry Falwell) and God put the fun in fundamentalist

Progress 04:41
Progress They put in the new road years ago and they hauled away the trees and coal a man put in a petrol station and beside it a hotel for the travel vacation and a few of the more hearty folk decided one day to make this newly cleared space their home to stay They built a church to keep in touch with God and they built a police station to keep in line the odd they built a schoolhouse to educate their offspring and a store to buy materials and things they built a factory just outside of town and created jobs and money for the people all around Other folk heard about the sleepy town arising and ventured there to make a go at life beside the spring banks came in to lend a hand with lots of capital shopping malls and dealerships rose up as well they elected those that they saw fit to run the place, collect taxes and all that bit By now they needed energy, more money, should they sell? they dammed the local river and they sunk some oil wells they had to build more roads, some freeways for the cars and a place to keep the killers, pushers and robbers behind bars radio and TV stations sprang up to give the daily news of local strife and foreign wars and who was suing who In came giant corporations from abroad and music groups and sporting teams for people to applaud they built a local center to send men into space and they passed some harsher laws to keep minorities in their place they built a zoo for lions, koalas and the lot to look a nature and to remind them of what they’re not They sectioned off the land to deposit all the trash and they built a nuclear power plant to get some extra cash they cleared some more of nature for some needed office spaces and they built a brick court house to settle legal cases they built a sterile hospital to care for all the sick and to work on cures for cancer from the crick They built a few more centers for trains and planes and boats and a few more bridges and parking lots and roads and they finished a few more entertainment house for the masses appliance stores of conveniences and a few more over passes but, though they try to supply demand, all they find is sand their energy is spent and they’ve used up all the land A crowded city stands full of herpes and of aids there isn’t any jobs, so the honkies hate the spades and the crime rate always rises, there’s nothing else to do trust is gone, you never know what is or isn’t true the city stands a monument to what our hands create and left there in the rubble are the people and their alcohol and drugs their minds sedate

America Breathing I can feel America breathing it’s the only sign of life I can hear her heart beating above the terror and the strife she begs for life in spite of the pain she wants to live again The grandest lady sees a mirror and in the mirror she sees lines with innocence and beauty fading she reaches deep for holy signs she begs to find a cure for the pain to free her youth again to open up her hand to the spirit of the land from granite to the sand for humanity she calls with hope still standing tall her beauty still enthralls me I want to live again I can feel America breathing begging darkness for a light I can hear her heart beating in the freedom and the fight she yearns for sight for love heals the pain she wants to give again she wants to live again

Jesus 2 (The Return) Jesus cut his hair and Jesus shaved his face Jesus changed his clothes, took a bath and joined the race just so they’d let him in Jesus bought a tie and Jesus voted right Jesus changed his name to Christian J. White but, still they wouldn’t let him come in Ya’ see, Jesus is a trouble maker Jesus is a freak Jesus is the enemy in the sermon every week so, how the hell are they gonna let him in? But, Jesus stood his ground and Jesus stirred the rabble Jesus blasphemed all religions Jesus is a rebel so, you know that they won’t let him in Jesus looks apart from every other man so, Jesus couldn’t help but, be alone in his stand so, you know that they could never fit him in Then Jesus walked away and Jesus shook his head Jesus saw his name above the door and it read; all are welcome, if you’re like us free from sin if you’re beaten, he’s the answer you could win bring your money and your lifestyle and your grin and Jesus knew he’d never make it in he never made it in

Waitin’ for Life to Begin I’d like to say, I’m intellectually disconnected but, mostly I’m bored when everything I lust for is decidedly out of reach and the payments, I can’t afford livin’ on grass and booze and video stimulation when does childhood end? I’m counting on the music and the luxury of friends to see me through these days of discontent I am waitin’ for life to begin I’m waitin’ for life to begin I’d like to say, the days ahead are better then the past as we seemingly appear to evolve but, everyday the headlines rearrange the words because man continues to revolve livin’ on ass and snooze and media manipulation with a credit card, it never ends still counting on the gods from Mt. Olympus to descend and to grant the possibilities again We’ve been waitin’ for life to begin we’ve been waitin’ for life to begin I’m barely here, if a stiff wind came I’d fly, high I’m suspended here in a world that sees me not I’m standing in what’s left from all that came before I’m standing in the rubble of our evolutionary war I’d like to say, I see a lining in the clouds, that’d be a lie the future holds only what the evening has to give how far and how high living on everything they say will bring the end because, nothing brings you joy like a sin I’m counting on the odds that somehow I will survive and I’ll live to do it over again I am waitin’ for life to begin I’m waitin’ for life to begin
